SALT AND DUNES – The Concentrate

The wind blows from the north.” And so the tale of the Thousand and One Nights becomes reality. Jasmine and Aladdin are enveloped in a wind of essences. The charm of a starry night that blows from the dunes of the Middle East onto the grains of sand of North Africa. Rough and dry like its woody notes, soft and enveloping like the essential oil of peach blossom. For millennia, camels laden with slabs of salt have traveled the route that starts from the cold Danakil desert and then crosses the hot dunes of the Ethiopian desert. I created this fragrance that smells of salt, of pungent air and then, suddenly, takes on the iridescent colors of the sand dunes: pink, gold, and orange.

the Rinascimento collection contains a selection of our most loved perfumes with a greater concentration of fragrance that makes them more intense and persistent. To enclose these special perfumes we have chosen a high quality French glass whose shape recalls our herbal tradition and a wengè wood cap that testifies to our passion for nature.

Caterina Sforza de’ Medici has been, in 1400,  the first ever writer of perfumed waters, cosmetics recipes and natural remedies. Thanks to her manuscript “Experimenti”,Florence became the world capital of perfume. Dr. Giovanni Di Massimo, renowned pharmacist and perfumer, derives inspiration from that maniscript and form this high-caliber epoch of Florentine perfumery, with an aim to resurrect and continue this rich historical legacy.
All the fragrances and perfumes “i PROFUMI di FIRENZE”created by Spezierie Palazzo Vecchio are known and appreciated for their refinement, the intense use of natural raw materials and for their persistence thanks to the wise  and generous use of base notes.
