Meo Fusciuni Sogni Parfum is a unisex woody fragrance. “Where am I? Am I dreaming, or is this reality?” Sogni tells of that moment suspended between dream and reality, that moment in which our mind and heart are still in a distant place and we feel lost, confused, as if hanging… With Sogni, I told the story of my love for Japan — my memories of past journeys, my passion for the literature of Kawabata, the films of Kurosawa, and bonsai. I tried to tell a new story through a warm woody fragrance: my Japanese dream. Some time ago, I thought — or dreamed — of creating the perfect woody perfume, where different woods could tell time, the flow of life itself. Once again, a challenge: a perfume that could be unique, emotional, and engaging. Sogni is the realization of that desire, an immediate experience, incredibly close to reality and to the nature of things. The opening notes of Sogni are tatami wood and Japanese pine needles — we are in an ancient ryokan in Kyoto, and the rain has stopped falling. A warm bowl of rice sits beside us, reminding us of the simplicity of life, its purity. Our attention is drawn to the green, light, transparent note of a bamboo forest; the floral note of Peony is an emotional haiku. A moment that anticipates the awakening of the soul from the dream.
